Procedure

Abdominoplasty will enhance the body by making the abdomen firmer, by removing excess fat and skin and tightening muscles of abdominal wall. Incision lines will fade over time but will always be visible. Though the incisions can be placed in locations concealed by bathing suits and undergarments. A horizontal incision is placed just above the pubic area. Then to tighten the abdominal wall, your surgeon will bring loose tissue and muscle together with sutures (stitches). The abdominal skin is then pulled downward, and the excess skin is removed. Then a small new opening will be made to bring your navel through

Length of Procedure

The procedure usually last 3 to 4 hours.

Type of Anesthesia

This procedure is usually done under general anesthesia though can be done under local anesthesia with sedation. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. This procedure is usually on an outpatient basis

You will experience temporary pain that can be managed with medication. You will not be able to stand up completely after surgery though you will be instructed not to sit for long periods of time for the first several days.
